A Forever Kind of Love
I remember the day
you entered this world
and the doctor announced
you have a baby girl.
She's strong and healthy
and is a lovely size.
She's been well nurtured
and has beautiful eyes.
Then tears of joy
streamed down my face
as I thanked God
for the amazing grace
that now enriched
our family lives
sharing a sister
with our only child.
You grew in love
through the weeks ahead
and often your brother
kissed you on your head.
He'd hold your tiny hand
in his own
and smile with pride
and eyes that glowed.
He'd proudly announce
to eveyone around
"Me have baby sister,
come see her now."
Through the years
you learned from us all
with a forever kind of love
that I now recall.
You've brought joy and blessings
to our extended family.
I hope you know dear daughter,
that you mean the world to me.
