The shadow hovers round again
and lingers near 'til who knows when.
I make it through from day to day;
a fugitive in the strangest way.
Determined to win and escape it's grasp,
to leave it behind as part of the past.
"Put your best foot
forward," I
say to myself,
and conquer any fears and doubts in yourself.
Do all you can to make yourself whole.
Look after the things in your own control.
Accept this challenge as best you can,
then leave all else in the palm of God's Hands.

Written with love and prayers for all
who are challenged by ill health.
October 8, 1989.
I recall that after writing this poem I picked up my Good News Bible
and opened it to Philippians Ch 4:Vs 6-7.
"Dismiss all anxiety from your minds. Present your needs to God in every
form of prayer and in petitions full of gratitude. Then God's Own Peace,
which is beyond all understanding, will stand guard over your hearts and
minds, in Christ Jesus."
